Before I Die

Before I die,

I want to say,

“Hey, that’s crazy!”

or, “There’s another way.”

 

Before I die

I want to see

my children loving

and carefree.

 

Before I die

I hope to be

who I am

and loving me.

 

Before I die

I’ll leave my mark,

I’ll etch a stone,

I’ll create a spark.

 

Before we die

what really counts?

Our inner sighs,

or bank accounts?
