Wholly Weak

v  children crucified

on the cross of gun violence

v  Syrian refugees

only get silence

v  hunger murders

20,000 a day

v  since climate change

recess is never the same

Yet out of the weak

        the wholly is born.

v  Parkland teens

stand against gun violence

v  Syrians cross borders

with hope unfurled

v  women create micro-businesses

        and hunger is relieved

v  recess is renewable

with windmill landscapes

and from the cross

        once again the Christ speaks.
